With matches beginning, here's a safety reminder.

We are excited to see our players return to the field to play matches and friendlies! Thank you to our players, families and staff who have diligently followed the safety measures we have put in place thus far. You have allowed us to progress to the point of now playing official matches once again.

We have several safety protocols in place that we would like to remind everyone to adhere to on game day:

Home games:

  • A manager (or volunteer parent) will check-in players via TeamSnap and take their temperature.
  • Players and spectators should arrive no more than 30 minutes before the game.
  • Each player can be accompanied by two (2) people, both of whom need to also have their temperature taken. Only those two people can accompany the player to field level.
  • While watching at field level, all spectators must wear a mask. Additionally each spectator must have a chair and remain 6 feet apart (from the next individual or pair of spectators).
  • Players and coaches are required to wear masks when on the bench.
  • Players, coaches and spectators should use this map as reference while at No Offseason Sports Complex.

We are always accepting new players!

Take the challenge and become an Arsenal player.

Away games:

  • Arsenal will follow any protocol set at the host team’s venue.
  • In addition, the manager, volunteer parent or coach will check the TeamSnap health screen and take temperatures. We now have enough thermometers to provide one to most of our staff.
  • Regardless of the host site’s policies, Arsenal will only allow two (2) spectators per player at field level.
  • Players and coaches are required to wear masks when on the bench.

Travel Protocol:

Please note that the below listed are based on PA State and CDC guidelines and mandates. This information is designed to provide a quick reference for Arsenal Members based on the best, most up to date information.

As a club we do not determine State and National guidelines/mandates, our role is to provide our membership with information so we can provide the safest possible environment for our players and families.

Below is a link to the PA Department of Health Travel Guidelines page.

If your question is not answered within the document, please refer to the FAQ’s section below.

Travel FAQ's:

1. If a player travels out of state, they must test or quarantine. How long should they wait upon return to test? How long is the quarantine?

Once they have secured a negative test either up to 72 prior to their travel BACK to PA or upon their return.  If no test prior to return quarantine for 10 day OR until a negative test (rapid antigen or PCR).

2. What type of test is acceptable and what do they do with the results once received?

Either a rapid antigen or PCR test is acceptable. The test results can be submitted to the team manager.

3. Who is able to clear or give approval to return to training or in person club activities?

With a negative test in hand a manager can, from a travel quarantine. More complicated situations would have to go to the RTP committee. Please submit your question via the contact form on this page.

4. Can the club provide resources/information for testing sites? Where can I get a test?

Dr. David, a parent of two boys in the club, will provide free testing for any Arsenal member. Parents can contact his office directly to schedule the test.

Additional Notes:

COVID-19 Questionnaire

Since the number of cases remains relatively low, and families have been consistent in contacting the RTP Committee with questions and exposure-events, the club will be discontinuing the questionnaires.

Under 11 Travel

The State Mandate Amendment (Link below) notes that the testing/quarantine is only applicable to individuals over the age of 11. However as players will be attending an event deemed to be a “Congregant Gathering”, the club believes that this would still meet the threshold for required testing/quarantine. Therefore we would still require players 11 and under to follow the outlined protocols set forth.

Travel Order Amendment

Thank you in advance for following these guidelines in order to allow your sons and daughters to return to playing the game they love.

After so many months on the sidelines, we are thrilled to once again put on the uniform and represent Arsenal Football Club of Pittsburgh!
