There's always another level.
Introducing an exciting collaboration.

Take the challenge.
Become an Arsenal player.
Players from the Arsenal Academy Program and the Hotspurs College Prep Phase (U16-U19) will have the opportunity to earn a spot with the NPSL or UWS first team squad.
The partnership between these two clubs will create a unique pathway to training and competing with advanced collegiate and adult players, providing local youth players with college and potential pro prospects the platform to push themselves further, earlier.

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is one of the largest established men’s soccer leagues in the United States with over 90 teams competing across the country.
The NPSL vision is to be the foundation of the U.S. Soccer development pyramid and help the U.S. become a soccer nation and develop a strong national team.
The NPSL is a member of the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and is thereby affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

United Women’s Soccer (UWS) announced the launch of League Two for the Summer 2020: a new developmental pathway for players in the U20-U23 age group.
UWS League Two is under the umbrella of the national pro-am league. It is also the official league for UWS reserve teams.
The season will run during the summer and teams will play matches in a regional-friendly format.
In addition to providing opportunities for our oldest players, this collaboration will also influence those in the younger phases of our Developmental Pyramid.
Beginning at the Junior Academy level, players will participate in friendly and competitive training environments designed to introduce them to a variety of game situations and to improve the relationship between players across clubs.
Here is how the collaboration will be implemented at each level:

- Weekly collaborative sessions throughout the year (August - December and March - May)
- ID Periods every 6 weeks, involving tiered training groups between both clubs. Fluid player movement between the training groups throughout the year.
- Consistent involvement from the First Team (NPSL & UWS) Coaching Staffs.
- Game schedule against elite youth teams and college/adult level teams. Players will be selected for these rosters and the games will be supplemental to the Arsenal and Hotspurs regular event calendars.
- The goal is to have 50% of the First Team rosters comprised of youth players (U16-U19) from Arsenal and Hotspurs involved in this year round program. The rosters will be announced after the NPSL and UWS tryouts in April.
- Alongside current Premier & Classic team training, weekly collaborative sessions throughout the year (August-December and March-May)
- Identification Periods every 6 weeks, involving tiered training groups between both clubs. Fluid player movement between the training groups throughout the year
- Weekly collaborative training sessions in the fall and spring
- Week-long identification periods to reevaluate players every six weeks
- ID periods are three consecutive collaborative training sessions
- ID session 1: 5v5 games
- ID session 2: functional training session based on the game model led by each club’s boys and girls directors, ending in 7v7 competitive environments
- ID session 3: 11v11 inter club matches
- ID periods are three consecutive collaborative training sessions
- Winter friendly matches for top players at both clubs. These additional matches will not interfere with regular game calendars.
- Players will be selected by both coaching staffs and finalized by the phase leaders.
- Advanced physical & tactical development throughout the year including biometrics testing, webinar and video analysis
- Collaborative outdoor festivals in the fall and spring
- Small sided games with randomized teams
- Minimal coach involvement to encourage players to express themselves and take more ownership during games
- Community clubs may be invited to participate as well
- Winter indoor game only league
- 5 v 5 game league
- Players will be organized into teams of 8 to 10 from their own club
